    Heraldic Famiy NamesDNA Tracing

    Paternal DNA Ancestors:

Learn about your father’s ancestral origins with a DNA test that profiles specific regions of the Y chromosome (male DNA), to create your Y DNA profile.

Y chromosome DNA profiles from different countries, races and population groups have been made world-wide by thousands of scientists over the past decades, and this allows us to compare your profile to determine your genetic family group and give a report on your genetic groups historical migrations and current locations.

Your profile can be used in a growing number of databases to match with others of the same family group, use for geneology or to give information on the racial background etc.

Since only males have a Y chromosome, females can not undertake this test, but they can have a report of their male family line if they submit a sample from their brother, father or other appropriately related male from their father’s line.

The DNA test is performed by an ISO-17025 accredited DNA testing laboratory with 14 years experience, (DNA Solutions Pty. Ltd.).  Sample required is a simple and painless mouth swab from the inside of the cheek.

Results take 2 to 4 weeks, and will be presented as your DNA profile, and additionally a framable A3 size colour certificate printed on cardboard sheet with your name and information, graphs and illustrations taken from the most recent scientific reports on your Y profile and family type from scientists world-wide.  The certificate is available in two styles, modern and traditional.

    Maternal DNA Ancestors:

Learn about your mother’s ancestral origins with this DNA test that sequences two specific areas (HSV1 and HSV2) of your mitochondrial DNA (maternally inherited DNA), to create your mitochondrial DNA profile.

Son’s and daughter’s both inherit the same mitochondrial DNA from their mother, so therefore females and males can both take this test.  For this reason mitochondrial DNA sequencing is often used to match brothers and sisters in missing persons cases.

Mitochondrial DNA profiling from different countries, races and population groups has been performed world-wide by thousands of scientists over several years, and this allows us to compare your profile to determine your maternal genetic family group and give a report on your genetic groups historical migrations and current locations.

Your profile can be used in a growing number of databases to match with others of the same family group, use in geneology, or to give information on the racial background etc.
